Studio City Realtor Nicole Costas recommends…
Small, historic, centrally located
The Grove is a small but historic little enclave in Studio City, California that's best known as the home of CBS Studio Center, at 4024 Radford Avenue, which has 18 soundstages and 210,000 square feet of office space. It was here, in 1928, that silent film producer and "King of Comedy" Mack Sennett ("The Keystone Cops") opened a new movie studio, and in the process created the surrounding little town of "Studio City."
The street boundaries of the Grove today are Laurel Canyon to the west, Radford to the east, Moorpark to the north, and Ventura Blvd. to the south. What makes the area special and desirable is its proximity to Ventura Blvd. and to the L.A. River, which offers a great biking and walking path for miles and miles through the city of Los Angeles. There are a wide variety of homes in The Grove, plus a few condo complexes and a new rental complex. The homes range from small 2-bedroom, 1-bath houses on small lots to classic 1940s traditionals on very large lots—highly sought after properties!
